BEXAR COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY
2019-20 LEADERSHIP COURSE
The second annual BCMS Leadership Course kicked-off on September 21 in the BCMS conference room, taught by professors
from the Trinity University Masters of Healthcare Administration program. The goal of the BCMS Leadership Course is to teach
physicians the leadership and management skills that can be used to manage their practices, businesses, community involvement,
organized medicine and their personal lives. The subjects of the first session of the course were:
Setting the Stage
The Evolving Health Care System
Blurring of the Lines in Health Care
Building Credibility
Everyone is a Leader
Leadership Progression Model
Competence & Compassion
Accountability & Kindness
The Leadership Course will continue for three more Saturday morning sessions over the coming months. Contact
