Vultures in New Braunfels Test Positive for Bird Flu
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Division announced they positively detected avian influenza A virus - commonly known as bird flu - in vultures found in Landa Park in New Braunfels. This specific strain has been identified in wild birds, commercial poultry, dairy cattle and various mammals. Residents are advised to avoid contact with sick or dead birds and to report any unusual wildlife behavior to local authorities. Read more.

Measles Outbreak in Texas Grows to 58 Cases
The Texas Department of State Health Services reported that 58 cases of measles have been identified in the South Plains region, with four cases of patients who have been vaccinated. Measles is an airborne illness that can cause rash, fever, red eyes, and cough. Severe cases can result in blindness, pneumonia, brain swelling, or death. Learn more.
