CMS Extends Surprise Billing Dispute Process After Change Healthcare Attack
In response to the February ransomware attack on Change Healthcare, CMS is introducing special measures to assist affected organizations in navigating the federal independent dispute resolution process under the No Surprise Act. CMS extended the time period for affected organizations to initiate open negotiation from June 14th to October 12. Learn more.

Metro Health Soon to Open Applications for $500,000 Reproductive Justice Funds Awards
The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District will open applications for organizations that want to use a portion of the city’s $500,000 Reproductive Justice Fund to advance reproductive and sexual health on June 24. Funding will support home pregnancy tests, STI home test kits, sexual health education, and more. Learn more.

Humana to Update Prior Authorization List
Humana will be updating its commercial prior authorization and notification list July 1, which includes delegating the review and management of requests for certain diagnostic, imaging and sleep services to the clinical intelligence company Cohere. Practices billing for these services must send requests to Cohere's online portal. Learn more.
