BCMS Member Wins Key AMA Seat
2024 BCMS President, Ezequiel "Zeke" Silva III, MD, was elected to the American Medical Association's Council on Medical Service. With the election of Dr. Silva, Texas will have a representative on six of seven AMA councils. Silva also serves as a chair of AMA's RVS Update Committee. Congratulations Dr. Silva!
Texas Influences a Dozen AMA Policies

The Covid Summer Wave is Here
According to the CDC, Covid cases are most likely increasing in 39 states and are not declining anywhere in the U.S., suggesting an anticipated summer wave is underway. The CDC no longer tracks Covid cases, but made estimates on increased Covid-related deaths, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations during the month of June. Read more.
