Medicare Premiums, Deductibles to Increase in 2024
Medicare patients will be paying more for their coverage in 2024, which will impact how much co-pay practices collect. The rise in patient costs comes at a time when Medicare physician payments still decline and payments to hospitals and other Medicare entities increase. Read more

East Texans Have a Higher Rate of Diabetes Than the National Average
As of 2021, about 2.5 million Texas adults, or 11.1%, had been diagnosed with diabetes, compared to a national rate of 8.5%, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). From 2001 to 2021, the percentage of adults with diabetes increased by more than half in Texas and by nearly a third nationally. Continue reading
