Poison Control Centers See Substantial Increase in Calls Related to Injected Weight-Loss Drugs
Poison control centers across the US say they are seeing a steep increase in calls related to semaglutide, an injected medication used for diabetes and weight loss, with some people reporting symptoms related to accidental overdoses. Continue reading

CDC Health Advisory: Increased Respiratory Disease Activity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warn of growing severe respiratory disease and increased health care capacity strain in the coming weeks, including a recent increase in cases of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children following SARS-CoV-2 infection. No Prior Auth Required for Generic Asthma Meds Following Medicaid Formulary Change
The developers of Flovent HFA and Flovent Diskus will cease manufacturing the drugs used to treat asthma and other pulmonary disorders at the end of the year. Physicians can instead prescribe generic asthma medications previously listed as non-preferred on the Medicaid formulary. Read more.
