Did you know that approximately 90% of your membership dues are deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses? 100% of BCMS and 90% of TMA dues are tax deductible. If you haven’t already done so, click here to renew your membership for 2024 today. New Leadership Summit Heeds Physicians’ Calls for Career Training
Heeding members’ requests to extend TMA’s leadership training opportunities, the Texas Medical Association (TMA) will host a Leadership Summit – formerly Winter Conference – Jan. 25-27 at the Hyatt Regency in Austin. Read more

CDC Warns of More Infectious Mpox Strain
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned that a more infectious mpox virus strain has been found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The CDC has also stated that the new strain, Clade I MPXV, has not been detected in the US, but clinicians should be aware of the strain for people who have traveled to Congo. Read more
