Applications are due Friday,
June 16th, and applicants will be notified of their status in August.
The first class will be held in-person in Austin on October 27-28,

Neutrality in Medicare Reform
Ensuring Medicare payment
is the same for services regardless of their setting is key to
sustaining medical practices. However, Medicare's policy of allowing
hospital-owned outpatient clinics to charge more than medical
practices and ambulatory surgery centers for most medical procedures
encourages private insurers to use the same uneven rates, though the

Drug Costs Lead
Millions in the US to Not Take Medications as Prescribed
Millions of adults in the
United States are not taking their medications as prescribed because
of costs, according to a new report from the US Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. Most adults between ages of 18 and 64 took at
least one prescription medication in 2021. Though, more than 8% of
them – about 9.2 million people – said they tried to save money by
skipping doses, taking less than prescribed or delaying a
prescription fill. Read more
