Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning clinicians who encounter
hepatitis in pediatric patients to consider testing them for
adenovirus, following diagnosis of both diseases in nine patients

Waiver Helps Increase Virtual Care Access For Medicare
Beneficiaries In Disadvantaged Neighborhoods, Study Finds
HealthPayerIntelligence reports,
“The CMS telehealth waiver that expanded coverage for virtual care
services during the COVID-19 pandemic helped increase access to
virtual care for Medicare beneficiaries in disadvantaged neighborhoods,”
according to a study published in Health Affairs.
After “coverage was expanded, utilization increased across all ADI
[Area Deprivation Index] quartiles. Following the waiver, 28
million beneficiaries had at least one outpatient visit claim, with
more than 2.7 million participating in a visit via telemedicine
(9.97 percent).”

and Treat Center offers rapid testing to uninsured symptomatic
patients. Upon receiving a positive result, an onsite health
care provider will determine the appropriate treatment plan. Then,
depending on a patient’s pertinent medical history, the medical
provider has the option to prescribe the monoclonal antibody
infusion, which will be administered onsite, or prescribe an oral
antiviral medicine. The prescription for the oral antiviral
medicine will be filled at the HEB of the patient’s choice at no
