CDC Recommends COVID Vaccines for Kids as Young as 6
Months
The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention on Saturday recommended two COVID-19
vaccines one for children between 6 months and 5 years old,
the other for ages 6 months to 4 years. Physicians and other
vaccinators can begin giving those shots, and they're now available
for ordering through the state's Vaccine Allocation & Ordering

Issue Proposals for School Safety, Mental Health Funding

TMA submitted
written testimony to the Senate’s Special Committee
to Protect All Texans, which was convened in response to the Uvalde

Prompts State to Make Synagis More Available
High-risk children enrolled
in Medicaid and two children's health programs will be able to
access the medication Synagis in the coming weeks to combat an
earlier-than-expected resurgence of respiratory syncytial virus, or
RSV, state health authorities say. More on the virus.

Symptom Dominance Linked with Depression in Patients with COPD
In a new study, a
non-respiratory symptom-dominant elevation in the COPD assessment
test total score was associated with depression in adults with
COPD, researchers reported in Respiratory Medicine.
