Feds Declare
"Long COVID" a Disability
The Biden administration in
late July issued new guidance declaring long COVID
a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act under
certain circumstances. The guidance is expected to largely affect
primary care physicians and some specialists, who may be called on
to assess patients with long COVID, according to Texas Medical

Payment Cut on Nonphysician Billing
Following strong pushback
from the Texas Medical Association, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) has
effectively reversed its payment-cutting policy change on
“incident-to” billing for services performed by nonphysician

A Pediatrician’s
Plea: Vaccinate Your Kids Against COVID-19
It's anticipated that
children ages 5 to 11 will be eligible to receive the COVID-19
vaccine through federal emergency use authorization as soon as this
fall. It is the time for parents of young children to commit to
getting their kid vaccinated as soon as a shot is available. Read more.
