Apply Now for Rural COVID Relief Funding
The Biden administration has announced plans to distribute $25.5 billion in funding to physicians, hospitals, and other facilities affected by COVID-19 as part of the Provider Relief Fund, and the portal for funding applications is now open. It will close at midnight on Oct. 26. Here's how to apply.

FDA Takes Additional Actions on the Use of a Booster Dose for COVID-19 Vaccines
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration took action to expand the use of a booster dose for COVID-19 vaccines in eligible populations. The agency is amending the emergency use authorizations (EUA) for COVID-19 vaccines to allow for the use of a single booster dose. 

TMA Minority Scholarship Program
Students who will enter medical school in 2022 can apply for the scholarships until
March 21, 2022. In addition to the application, students must submit an essay and provide a letter of acceptance with the intent to attend and TMA will announce the winners at TexMed 2022.
