Update on Myocarditis and Pericarditis Occurring After mRNA COVID-19 Vaccination

On June 23, 2021, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) held a meeting to review data on myocarditis and pericarditis occurring after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination. The CDC continues to recommend vaccination for ages 12 years and older.
As with any adverse events, please report cases of myocarditis and pericarditis following COVID-19 mRNA vaccination to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System
