SA Vaccine Day
July 10th has been designated by Mayor Ron Nirenberg
as SA Vaccine Day, and the City of San Antonio and Spurs Sports
& Entertainment (SS&E) will host a COVID-19 vaccine event
as part of a partnership to encourage residents to get vaccinated.
During the event, each person who gets vaccinated will be eligible
to win a Spurs season package – which includes two tickets to 10

Provider Survey on HIV
Practices
The Texas Collaborative for HIV Education and
Prevention (TCHEP) is dedicated to reducing new HIV infections and
ultimately ending the HIV epidemic in Texas by advancing
evidence-informed clinical HIV preventive practices and processes.
This survey is being conducted to
characterize the current standard of HIV prevention practices,
mainly routine HIV screening and the use of biomedical HIV
prevention interventions (PrEP/PEP) in primary and emergency care
settings across Texas. Respondents receive a $5.00 Starbucks
gift card. The survey closes at 5 p.m. on July 15. Take the Survey.
Revoked EUAs for
Non-NIOSH-Approved Disposable Filtering Facepiece Respirators
On April 3, 2020, the FDA issued an umbrella EUA for
certain filtering face-piece respirators (FFRs) that are
manufactured in China and are not approved by the National
Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Respirator
models that were authorized by this EUA were listed in Appendix A
and were authorized for emergency use by healthcare personnel in
healthcare settings in accordance with CDC recommendations.
