Do You or Your Staff Still Need the COVID-19 Vaccine?
Physicians: Do you or your staff still need the first dose of COVID-19 vaccinations? Have each medical staff person in your practice that still needs the first dose vaccination complete this form. Please double check the spelling of the email address and the accuracy of the phone number! This is NOT for your patients or the public!

UT Health San Antonio has now set it up so all (1A/1B) members of our community, who meet current eligibility requirements outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, can now self-schedule their vaccination. A big thank you to UT Health for working with BCMS to get our members and other health professionals vaccinated during this very challenging time. Schedule Your Vaccine

Volunteers Needed: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics
Volunteer Licensed Medical Professionals and others are needed for the Mass Vaccination Clinics being held at the Alamo Dome and Mobile Vaccination Clinic. All vaccinators/drawers must register on the Texas Disaster Volunteer Registry (TDVR) with the Alamo Area Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).

San Antonio Metro Health Advisory: Pan - Resistant Candida Auris
In January 2021, Candida Auris became a Texas notifiable condition with required isolation submission to the DHSH Laboratory in Austin. View Advisory.

TMB Clarifies Waiver Allowing Certain Pain Prescription Refills via Telemedicine
The Texas Medical Board has republished an emergency rule, effective March 3, that extends a waiver that allows for telephone refills of certain controlled substance prescriptions to treat patients with chronic pain who recently saw their doctor via telemedicine or in person. Read More

Medicare to Double Payment to Administer Vaccines
Medicare will pay physicians and practices that administer COVID-19 vaccines $40 per dose – nearly double the current payment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has announced.  Continue reading.  View billing guidelines
