Vaccination Event – 2nd Doses
If you received your first dose of Moderna vaccine
at the BCMS vaccination event on Jan. 10, please watch your text,
email or answer your phone, H-E-B Pharmacy will be contacting you
regarding the second doses. If you receive a text message stating,
“H-E-B Pharmacy: Please reply Y or Yes to confirm subscription to
RX Alerts. Reply HELP for help. Msg frequency varies by account.”
It is important for you to reply Y or Yes. You now basically have a
prescription for the second doses of the vaccine. If all goes well,
we hope to have a second dose clinic at BCMS on Feb. 6.

COVID Vaccines for Physicians and Staff
BCMS continues to work with pharmacies and hospitals
to coordinate COVID-19 vaccinations for physicians and their
front-line staff who do not have access to COVID vaccinations
through a hospital where they are privileged. For the latest

COVID Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Now Available in
San Antonio
In order to assist STRAC regional hospitals, a
coalition of area Hospital Systems, STRAC, the San Antonio Fire Department
and the UT Health San Antonio and the Office of the EMS Medical
Director have established a Regional Infusion Center (RIC) to
administer COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibodies to outpatients referred
from area Physicians, Clinics, Urgent Care Centers and Emergency
Departments. The goal of this project is to prevent
hospitalizations/ER visits for select patients with COVID 19

CDC COCA Call: Treating Long COVID: Clinician
Experience with Post-Acute COVID-19 Care
For some people, the effects of COVID-19 can last
well beyond the immediate illness. Patients and clinicians across
the United States are reporting long-term effects of COVID-19,
commonly referred to as long COVID. The call will be on Thursday,
