BCMS Continues to Recommend Following CDC Guidelines
The Bexar County Medical Society continues to stress
the importance of wearing masks, practicing social distancing,
washing hands frequently, and receiving a vaccine when eligible as
the most effective ways to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Beginning April 5, all practices must comply with
new information-blocking rules. The
rules require that physicians give patients broad access to their
electronic health information. Learn how these rules will affect you

Mask Policies for Your Practice
As we’ve heard from many of you, the lifting of the
statewide mask mandate has caused confusion among patients about
whether they should wear masks during medical visits. The Texas
Medical Liability Trust (TMLT) has resources on how to communicate mask policies to patients
and how to de-escalate tense or angry situations
in the office.
Update on Regional Infusion Center (RIC)
The Regional Infusion Center (RIC) that was at the
Freeman Coliseum has closed and local infusions have now been
transitioned to the Mobile Infusion Task Force (MITF). Please use
the new MITF Patient Screening/Referral and Order Set
Form.
