Health Advisory: Antibody Testing for COVID-19 As of April, 27, San Antonio Metro Health has updated their testing for COVID-19 and the limitations of antibody testing. Read the full advisory here
Governor/Mayor’s Plans to Reopen Texas On April 27, Governor Abbott announced his plan to reopen Texas beginning May 1st by relaxing some limitations on public gatherings and non-urgent elective surgeries. In addition, Mayor Ron Nirenberg extended the Stay Home, Work Safe order until May 19th.
TMLT Offers FREE KN95 Masks to Policyholders Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT) is offering KN95 respirator masks, a crucial piece of personal protective equipment (PPE) to its policyholders on the front lines of COVID-19 in Texas. The masks are being provided at no cost to physician policyholders and their practices in need of this PPE while supplies last. Get the details
TMLT provides 10% additional dividend in response to COVID-19 crisis TMLT policyholders will receive an additional 10 percent premium dividend credited to their accounts. The dividend approved by the TMLT Board of Governors in an emergency meeting gives immediate financial relief to TMLT policyholders hit hard by the COVID-19 public health crisis. Metro Health Medical Station Signup Healthcare volunteers are being sought by San Antonio Metro Health to staff the medical station at the Holiday Inn Market Square that is sheltering the homeless population overflow from Haven for Hope. This complement would be 7 days a week from 10:00a-2:00p (1-2 Provider(s) and 1-2 RN, LVN, CNA or MA) beginning on Monday, April 13, 2020 and PPE will be provided by the City of San Antonio.
