The Spring primaries are upon us and they determine the
practice environment for Texas physicians and our patients. To help elect
medicine-friendly candidates in the March primaries, you must be
registered to vote by Monday, Feb. 3. Early voting begins Tuesday,
Feb 18. Register to Vote Last
Day to Claim Your 5% Medicare Bonus is Feb. 28 We have learned that CMS has not been able to disburse
funds to over 3,000 clinicians because they cannot verify banking
information. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is asking
all participating Physicians who have not received their APM incentive
payments for 2019 to start the process and submit by Feb. 28.
Remember, that federal regulations require CMS to disburse APM incentive
payments to all participants in one lump sum. Verify
your Banking Information In preparing for the Coronavirus, the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention have partnered with the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services to create a workbook designed to assist hospitals
in coordinating care of pediatric patients during an influenza pandemic. Read

Health and DSHS Criteria to Guide Patients Under
Investigation for 2019-novel Coronavirus Patients in the US
who meet the following criteria should be evaluated as a PUI for 2019-nCoV.
The criteria are intended to serve as guidance for evaluation. Patients
should be evaluated and discussed with local public health departments. Read Criteria
