Health Advisory: Updated Guidance for COVID-19 San Antonio Metro Health has sent out new COVID-19 guidelines on quarantining and testing priorities as the situation continues to change. View updated guidelines here
COVID-19 Self-Screening Tool - Should I be tested? San Antonio Metro Health now has a 9 question self-screening tool that can help you decide whether you should be test for COVID-19. This screening test does not provide medical diagnosis, if you are experiencing a serious health emergency, call 911.
COVID-19 Testing Supplies Needed To ramp up testing for COVID-19, specimen collection kits are needed! Please check your supplies and consider donating the following: · Viral or Universal Transport Medium (VTM/UTM) with synthetic-tip swab. Example: o Influenza test o HSV PCR test o Certain chlamydia/mycoplasma/ureaplasma tests These items are needed to collect specimens from Persons Under Investigation (PUI) for COVID-19. Any quantity, no matter how small or large, you are willing to share is needed! Without these the VTM/UTM and swabs, the tests cannot be done. Please call with the quantity of items you can provide by calling (210) 301-4391.
Financing Options to Help Keep Your Practice Afloat Gov. Greg Abbott recently announced that the US Small Business Administration (SBA) has included Texas in its Economic Injury Disaster Declaration, giving qualifying small businesses in Texas which includes health care clinics and practices, access to the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program.
