Facing organ donor shortage has become a nationwide problem, there simply aren’t enough donors to meet the growing demand. In 2019, the Texas Legislature designated February 26th as Texas Bone Marrow, Blood and Organ Registry Day in an effort increase public awareness and urge Texans to register with Donate Life Texas. To register as a donor or for more information click here.
CDC COVID-19 Information for Healthcare Professionals As a healthcare professional, you are on the front lines of caring for patients, which means you are at an elevated risk of exposure to novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are encouraging healthcare professionals to minimize your risk to exposure by staying up-to-date with the CDC infection prevention and control guidelines.
How to Talk to Patients About the PMP The new Texas mandate requiring PMP checks begins this month and our goal is to reassure physicians and patients that this new law is a public health tool. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission have created a communication toolkit to help physicians facilitate PMP check conversations with patients. |
