Nominations NOW OPEN for 2021 BCMS Leadership Positions The elected officers of BCMS are President, President-elect, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Immediate Past President, Directors, etc. Nomination Deadline is July 15, 2020. Nomination Form Research Study on Severe Traumatic Brain Injury Requests Feedback A study of emergency care involving victims of severe brain trauma is to be performed in the San Antonio area. UT Health San Antonio and University Health System are conducting a research study to learn which of two strategies for monitoring and treating patients with severe traumatic brain injury in the intensive care unit (ICU) is more likely to help them get better. Portal Now Open to Apply for Medicaid and CHIP Relief Funds The Department of Health and Human Services has opened a portal for physicians who treat Medicaid and CHIP patients to apply for federal emergency assistance related to COVID-19. To be eligible, physicians and health care providers must not have received payments from previous relief funds paid to physicians who participate in Medicare. Apply for funds
COVID-19 Update: FDA Reissues Emergency Use Authorizations In response to public health and safety concerns regarding decontaminating certain respirators, the FDA is reissuing certain emergency use authorizations (EUAs) to specify which respirators are appropriate for decontamination.
