Governor Establishes Strike Force to Open Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued three new Executive Orders to begin the process of reopening the state of Texas while revising hospital capacity and certain social distancing guidelines. Within the orders, select activities and services that pose minimal to no threat of spreading COVID-19 are allowed to reopen using a "Retail-To-Go" model, certain restrictions on surgeries have been loosened, and schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. Metro Health Medical Station Signup Healthcare volunteers are being sought by San Antonio Metro Health to staff the medical station at the Holiday Inn Market Square that is sheltering the homeless population overflow from Haven for Hope. This complement would be 7 days a week from 10:00a-2:00p (1-2 Provider(s) and 1-2 RN, LVN, CNA or MA) beginning on Monday, April 13, 2020 and PPE will be provided by the City of San Antonio. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Supplies Requests Physician practices in need of large quantities of critical supplies of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) submit requests through the Regional Medical Operations Center (RMOC) from the Strategic National Stockpile click here for the form. Submit requests to RMOC213Request@STRAC.org.
