EXPANSION MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY FOR LOCAL DOCTORS

HELOTES, TEXAS (November 6, 2019) – Cooler temperatures and brisk Fall-like weather seemed to only ramp-up excitement among State, County & City elected officials who joined business and community leaders from Helotes, San Antonio, for the mid-week grand opening of HealthTexas Medical Group’s newest clinic in northwest Bexar County.

HealthTexas leadership including prominent community physician & “Helotian” Dr. Manuel Quiñones welcomed guests and accepted kudos including a congratulatory letter from Governor Greg Abbott; a Bexar County Proclamation generated by Precinct 2 Commissioner Justin Rodriguez; and a ceremonial letter of congratulations from San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and secured by District 8 Councilman Manny Pelaez.

This is the 17th clinic to open during the physician group’s 25th Anniversary year, a milestone touched on in remarks from Texas Senator District 19 Peter P. Flores, who was the ranking elected official in attendance brought greetings from Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The HealthTexas Helotes clinic is situated at 11820 Bandera Road, Ste. 102, San Antonio, TX (78023) in the Bandera Trails Shopping Center sandwiched between Gold’s Gym & Home Depot.

HealthTexas CEO Dr. Kristi Clark welcomed everyone and introduced Reverend Reuben E. Lashley with the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in Helotes to lead the opening prayer prior to the morning’s events. Also present and recognized were representatives on behalf of U.S. Congressman District 23 Will Hurd; Texas Senator 25th District Donna Campbell; and District 8 San Antonio City Councilman Manny Pelaez.

HealthTexas Medical Group was established in 1994 by local physicians who recognized the need for primary care doctors to combine their passion, skills and resources to improve the health of the patients within the local community. Since then, HealthTexas has grown to include more than 60 healthcare providers in 17 primary care clinics around San Antonio region all working toward that same goal.
