Stephen Harrison, MD named to
BioMed SA Board of Directors, representing physicians

Stephen Harrison, MD was introduced to the BioMed SA Board of Directors
during the Aug. 14 monthly meeting of the group held at the South Texas
Research Facility in the Medical Center. As a new member on the Board,
Dr. Harrison presented an overview of Pinnacle Research, a clinical
trials organization focusing on liver disease research,
which he heads as medical director.

BCMS member, Dr. Stephen Harrison, a gastroenterologist hepatologist in private practice has joined the BioMed SA Board of Directors (of which BCMS is also a member), and will serve in this capacity representing physicians. A member of Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio, Dr. Harrison is also the medical director of Pinnacle Research, a clinical trials organization with a focus on liver disease research. Dr. Harrison succeeds his colleague, Delbert Chumley, MD, also a gastroenterologist and former BCMS president, who previously served as a founding board member and physician representative on the BioMed SA board since its inception in 2005.
