BCMS Wine Tour

Active Shooter Exercise

Bexar County Medical Society (BCMS) and the Alamo Area Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) have partnered with Bexar County Constable Michelle Barrientes Vela (Precinct 2) to participate in a Full-Scale Active Shooter Exercise, led by M. Garcia, Captain of Operations. Capt. Garcia with Precinct 2 has assured us that this exercise will be as close to a real Active Shooter scenario as you can possibly get.

 

The exercise will be held Sat, March 9, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

at the BCMS headquarters, 4334 N. Loop 1604 W, Ste 200, 78249.

 

This exercise is not limited to only BCMS Emergency Preparedness Committee and MRC Members.

Championing Immunizations Training

Metro Health’s Immunization Program is sponsoring a training for VFC clinicians “Championing Immunizations to Improve Rates in Your Clinic”. The training will be provided by Cherise Rohr-Allegrini, PhD, MPH from The Immunization Partnership, and is specifically geared to help VFC sites and providers improve quality of care and overall coverage in adolescent vaccination rates, and is provided as part of the CDC’s quality improvement initiative.

 

Date: March 8  from 1-2 p.m.
