Blue Ribbon Task Force announces change in
leadership On June
15, the Blue Ribbon Task Force met to announce the transition of the Task
Force to the office of State Senator Jose Menendez (Senate District
26). Judge Peter Sakai of the 225th District Court and
retired Judge John Specia will join Senator Menedez in a tri-chair leadership
of this group. The mission of the Blue Ribbon Task Force is to develop
and advance community-based solutions for the problems of child abuse and
neglect. Through education, support and prevention efforts, the Blue
Ribbon Task Force will help create a community where all children are
cherished and protected. More details will be provided as they become
available regarding plans for future and on-going meetings of the Task Force. To
learn more about how you can get involved with the Blue Ribbon Task Force or
to participate in local discussion on this and other legislative advocacy
topics by joining the BCMS Legislative and Socioeconomics Committee, contact
Mary Nava, BCMS chief government affairs officer at mary.nava@bcms.org. |
