Judson Healthcare Academy Grant
The Innovative Healthcare Academy at Judson High School needs some assistance from the medical community. The school recently attained a grant to expand its health science program and build partnerships with medical industry partners. The intent of the grant and these partnerships is to facilitate hands on real world learning activities for the students. This is the first year of the grant and there are 30 9^th graders in the program. The school is working to build many learning activities for the students including haveing speakers come during the school day, after school and for weekend activities. The grant requires the school to generate $80,000 of In Kind services from its community partners. The Grant deadline is May 31^st 2018. They are asking if any local medical facilities would be willing to assist by: Donations - Monetary donations or donations of new or used equipment will count directly toward the IN Kind requirement. If you are getting new equipment please consider donating the used equipment for the Healthcare Academy’s use. If you have extra supplies, they could use that also. Student learning activities in a medical area. Guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, field trips, medical professional meetings or any other educational activity.
