Then, in separate events and meetings on Dec. 6, members attended:

*A breakfast meeting with State Rep. Lyle Larson (District 122);

*A luncheon with State Rep.-elect Trey Martinez Fischer (District 116); and

*A holiday reception honoring State Rep. Barbara Gervin-Hawkins (District 120).

Drs. Alex Kenton, left, and Michael Battista, right, meet with Rep.-elect Trey Martinez Fischer.

Call for Resolutions to be considered

by the BCMS Delegation to TMA

Do you know an issue(s) facing medicine that should be addressed by the TMA House of Delegates?
If so, the issue(s) needs to be submitted to BCMS in the form of a Resolution.
With the new year around the corner, it is time to start thinking of resolutions you would like the BCMS Delegation to TMA to consider.

The BCMS Delegation will meet in early February to review resolutions submitted by BCMS members. Resolutions supported by the BCMS Delegation will be submitted to the TMA House of Delegates at TexMed 2019, which will be held May 17-18 in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

A sample resolution form is available at this link. The deadline to submit your resolutions to BCMS is Thursday, Jan. 31.

To learn more about getting involved with the BCMS Delegation to TMA, please contact Mary Nava, chief government affairs officer and delegation liaison at mary.nava@bcms.org.
