Mary Nava and I are representing BCMS on the Tobacco 21 (T-21) Steering/Core Leadership Committee, which is leading the effort to pass a city ordinance that would raise the age to purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21. The scheduled "citizens to be heard" in front of the city council on this topic is Nov. 29 starting at 6 p.m.  I encourage you to help BCMS show support for this important measure by signing up to attend the public hearing on Nov. 29 and also sending an email to your city councilperson through the attached electronic form at this link.

If you are interested in attending the public hearing on Nov. 29 please RSVP to Mary Nava, BCMS chief government affairs officer, at mary.nava@bcms.org.  Also, if you would like to speak in support of T-21 please also indicate that on your reply email.

Sincerely,

Leah Jacobson, MD

BCMS President
