of
the Texas
Medical Association
Here are a few
things his colleagues have to say about him:
"We are at
a critical turning point in medicine. Texas physicians are on the
defensive. We are hitting wall after wall trying to maintain a
practice, trying to maintain patient access to our care, fending off
scope of practice infringements and fighting to uphold tort reform.
Last Spring, I was speaking passionately to one of our legislators
about these very issues, but seemed not to be getting through. David
walked in, and after listening for a minute, began to speak. I saw a
perceptible shift. David immediately commanded the respect, trust and
attention of that legislator. You only get that unspoken quality
through a deep understanding and years of active, hands-on working on
the issues. It's a quality honed through years of listening to others
and working to unify and solve the problem. And legislators and
physician colleagues trust and respect that alike." Alex Kenton, MD,
BCMS
"At a time
when our profession is facing unprecedented challenges, David stands
out as a person unparalleled in his experience with organized
medicine." Jayesh Shah, MD, BCMS President
