Physician survey addresses genetics services
A genetic
counseling graduate student at the University of Texas Health
Science Center Houston is seeking physician input on a survey.
For her thesis
research project, Callie Jenevein is participating in a larger
mission to evaluate the need for genetics services in Texas, as
genetic testing is rapidly becoming more affordable and accessible
to patients.
The 5- to
10-minute survey is designed to assess Texas physicians' awareness
and utilization of genetic services in the state. The project
has UT IRB approval. All information gathered is anonymous and
confidential.
