February's Unsung Hero honored
Gladys Gonzalez from Personal
Medical Clinic was named the BCMS Unsung Hero for February.
Dr. Hector Tamayo, medical
director, nominated Gonzalez and stated: "The term 'right
hand' might seem a bit overrated but that is exactly what Gladys is
for me. Besides handling all the internal front- and back-office
duties, Gladys takes care of our triage, phlebotomy and assists
during specific procedures.
"Gladys is the moral compass
of the practice and holds herself and the rest of the staff to the
highest standards. She is very well regarded by our patients,"
he said.
"Working tireless hours
beyond normal schedule is the norm for her. Finding better ways to
organize and deliver care is her very best trait," Dr. Tamayo
said.
The Unsung Hero program allows
BCMS members to recognize their office managers/administrators for
their dedication and hard work in assisting physicians in
delivering the best attention and care to patients.
