Methodist
Healthcare to receive
for Performance
Excellence
Methodist
Healthcare will receive the Texas Award for Performance Excellence
(TAPE) from the Quality Texas Foundation in ceremonies June
23.
The award
represents the highest level of quality an organization can achieve
in Texas, and uses the same criteria and process as the Malcolm
Baldrige National Quality Award. Methodist is the first healthcare
system in South Texas to receive the award.
Methodist
officials will accept the award next month at the Texas Quest for
Excellence Conference in Addison, Texas. They will use the
results of a detailed report from the Quality Texas Foundation to
prepare for the national Baldrige process.
"This
award is a validation of the hard work our employees, physicians,
volunteers and board members have accomplished over the past year
in Methodist Healthcare's journey to excellence," said Jaime
Wesolowski, Methodist Healthcare president and CEO
