BCMS, in collaboration with TMA,
offers the most accurate, comprehensive physician referral service on
behalf of its members.
Historically, the combined
web/phone inquiries exceed 10,000 per year. One of our strategic
initiatives is to increase the value of this community/member
benefit.
This week we launched a redesigned
physician referral web page that is significantly more functional and
intuitive. We are proud of this effort, and encourage you to

Marketplace enrollment website issues of top concern
By Mary E. Nava, MBA
BCMS Chief Governmental and Community Relations
Officer
As the Healthcare Marketplace
enrollment continues to be plagued with technical issues, Health
and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius visited Texas last
week and joined Mayor Julian Castro; County Judge Nelson Wolff and
officials with CentroMed to express to our community that
enrollment is continuing, technical issues are being dealt with
accordingly, and a new general contractor has been hired to oversee
the enrollment website fixes.
Mayor Castro commented that San
Antonio is actively raising awareness of the enrollment period and
that much has been done to educate the people of San Antonio
through a variety of local community events.
