Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, deadline to update new and/or
amended agreements since Jan. 25

This is a reminder that in order
to comply with the Texas Privacy Law, physicians are required to
update their business associate agreements as well as the notice of
privacy practices.
Covered entities have until Sept.
23, 2014, to update all business associate agreements. However, any business
associate agreements, new or amended after Jan. 25, 2013, must be
updated by Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.
