BCBS-TX is offering training
sessions for the Blue Advantage HMO, which is one of their products
on the exchange in Texas.
Blue Advantage HMO is new, and to
be a participant, you would have signed a separate agreement earlier
this year. If you're unsure of your status in the Blue Advantage HMO,
the market provider relations office is available by clicking here.
If you are ONLY contracted with the
BCBS PPO network, you can still attend the session, but its primary
focus will be on the new HMO product.

By Mary E. Nava, MBA
BCMS Chief Governmental and Community Relations

practices have until Dec. 1 to train staff on the new OSHA Hazards
Communication Standard, which applied revisions to the safety data
sheets and the labeling system.
TMA has compiled a number of
resources, available online, including a training requirements fact
sheet, to help practices with staff training. To access the
OSHA training materials, click here.

and other practice management topics, consider joining the BCMS
