UT Health San Antonio administers COVID-19 vaccine
to its front-line health care workers
UT Health San Antonio received nearly 6,000 doses of
the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which gained emergency use
authorization Dec. 10 from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Beginning Tuesday afternoon, UT Health San Antonio front-line
health care workers including doctors, nurses and care team members
are rolling up their sleeves to receive their first dose of the

Health Plans to Cover Costs of Administering
COVID-19 Vaccines
Individual health plans, Medicare, and Medicaid will
cover COVID-19 vaccine administration fees without cost-sharing,
TMA has learned. Meanwhile, the federal government will pay for
each COVID-19 vaccine serum even if it is part of a claim at
least through the end of the national public health emergency
