Texas Medical Board License Renewals Due August 31
If your medical license was set to expire on Feb. 28 or May 31, and you benefited from the Texas Medical Board’s automatic extension due to COVID-19, your license renewal fees are coming due Aug. 31. The extension also applied to newly licensed physicians and physician assistants whose initial registrations were due between March and June of this year. Read more
Texas HHSC: Letter to Texas Employers
Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) have received reports that some employers are requiring their employees to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test before they can return to work after an illness. Free PPE Supplies
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Bexar County Medical Society and the Strategic Alliance for Emergency Response (SAFER Texas) have sent over 1,030 PPE care packages to physician practices containing over 160,000 pieces of PPE. This effort has helped roughly 10,182 healthcare professionals through this ongoing project. A huge Thank You to Gwendolyn Quintana and the SAFER Texas volunteers who have made this project work!
