COVID Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Now Available in San Antonio
In order to assist STRAC (Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Counsel) Regional Hospitals, a coalition of area Hospital Systems, STRAC, the San Antonio Fire Department and the UT Health San Antonio, Office of the EMS Medical Director have established a Regional Infusion Center (RIC) to administer COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibodies to outpatients referred from area Physicians, Clinics, Urgent Care Centers and Emergency Departments.  The goal of this project is to prevent hospitalizations/ER visits for select patients with COVID 19 infection. Click here for details.

People With COVID-19 Most Infectious About Two Days Before Symptoms Begin And For Five Days Afterward, Analysis Finds
The New York Times reports that people with COVID-19 “are most infectious about two days before symptoms begin and for five days afterward, according to a new analysis of previous research.” The analysis was published in the journal The Lancet Microbe.

CDC Says Coronavirus Quarantine Time Can Be Shortened From 14 Days 
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Wednesday said its recommended quarantine time after someone is exposed to coronavirus can be shortened to 7 days with a negative test result, and 10 days without a test. CDC officials said that ideally people would still quarantine for the full 14 days, but that in an effort to boost compliance with quarantining and after "extensive modelling," they determined there was a low risk of people continuing to spread the virus in the final days of a quarantine.
