Letter to Gov. Abbott regarding Facility Visitation Principles
The Texas Medical Association, joined by six other state health care organizations, has written a letter with a list of principles to help hospitals and other health care facilities provide more flexible visitation policies for patients facing serious illness or end of life situations during COVID-19. Free PPE Supplies
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Bexar County Medical Society and the Strategic Alliance for Emergency Response (SAFER Texas) have sent over 1,030 PPE care packages to physician practices containing over 160,000 pieces of PPE. This effort has helped roughly 10,182 healthcare professionals through this ongoing project. A huge Thank You to Gwendolyn Quintana and the SAFER Texas volunteers who have made this project work!
